So I’ve never been that girl. You know, the one that enjoys a good arts & crafts or do-it-yourself kind of project, and I certainly didn’t become her when I had a kid! Although contrary to the greater population’s assumption that once you become a mom you suddenly leave all of your previous interests behind in order to obsessively pin projects and dive head first into instagrammable DIY moments. As such, I have been strictly opposed to the societal pressure we moms face to “make things,” however when I saw these self-adhesive patches – you heard me, that means no sewing involved – I caved. Basically they’re DIY for dummies (insert me) and pretty much foolproof.

Now for as much as I’m not the craftsy type, Maria may be even less so. In an effort to combat our lack of love for the crafts, we decided to make our patch project a party. We enlisted our girlfriend Sai De Silva from Scout the City and her daughter London to join in on the fun – er, stick some stickers on some jackets. For all you DIY hesitaters, follow along step by step in our video as we walk our kiddos through transforming bare jackets into wearable works of art! It’s as easy as, peel, stick and wear – trust, you can do this too.
