School is out. And you know what that means… bust out the summer clothes for your MINIs! We’re loving bright colors, vibrant prints and soft, easy fabrics that make playing outdoors all that much more enjoyable for our can’t-stop/won’t-stop little ones. Basically it’s all about style, simplicity, comfort – and these looks deliver.
One of our favorite designers for warm weather looks is Los Angeles-based Nico Nico, which focuses on clean silhouettes, quality materials and a deep respect for the environment. All their pieces are made in the USA and produced using organic cotton and recycled poly-blends. With a California cool vibe in colors that pop, boys and girls alike will stand out from the pack while sporting their palm tree tees, braided strap tanks and gauzy maxi skirts. My 6-year-old Kaia lives in hers and that’s fine by me, seeing that it works with everything from a basic t-shirt to a frilly top.
Soft Gallery has a similar aesthetic but puts a poetic Danish spin on things – along with an added artistic twist. Each season the brand collaborates with artists to create prints and hand embroideries that make their looks truly unique. This season it’s all about hand-scribbled polka dots, bright pink cherries and the cutest flamingo duo you’ll have the privilege of meeting. So now that they’re all dressed, let the hula hooping, candy-chomping, bike-riding summer ruckus begin…
