Minimode + Joolz
What is it that makes a baby item stand out from the pack? For new moms it is indeed practicality but sleek, smart design has now become equally important, which is why we instantly fell for the Joolz Geo² stroller. After spotting it over and over again carrying the precious cargo of some of New York’s most fashionable moms (including model Nadejda Savcova, showing hers off in these shots), our curiosity was piqued – we had to find out why this has become the must have item for new moms on the go.
The modular design is what most moms fall for first: you can configure the Geo² to be Mono, Duo or Twin, plus it has a bassinet so you can use it from infancy. For city moms with growing families, this flexibility is key. However what truly separates Joolz from the other strollers on the market is their brand ethos. In today’s ever-changing world, we all want to support people and brands that stand for something. Joolz not only perfectly represents an eclectic, urban style, but their cardboard packaging has been designed with a second, sustainable life in mind. Every stroller and accessory box can be transformed into a practical new product. They call this “Positive Design.” We like to call it smart. And our MINIs like to call it fun, upon learning that the box comes with directions for cutting out and building things like a lampshade, a birdhouse or a chair out of the recyclable cardboard packaging. In addition, for every Joolz stroller sold, Joolz plants a tree within their birth forest, located in Colombia.
Oh, and let’s not pretend we don’t care what our stroller looks like. Let’s face it, that pushchair becomes your ultimate accessory for months on end so why not have one that is chic and sleek, and that you can customize to suit your personal aesthetic. From the fabric to the accents, you can truly create a ride that will have even baby swooning. And the other features that make it a mommy winner: it’s extremely maneuverable (trust me, so important!), easy-to-handle and it has amazing storage beneath the seat. As a mom who has pushed around two babies in New York City, maneuvering it with one hand, having room to throw all your stuff in the basket underneath and folding it up one smooth motion… that’s the golden stroller trifecta!
